Chai Tea Cookie Recipe
I have developed a serious love for chai tea.  It’s my go-to hot beverage and becoming a favorite cool blended treat this summer.  So after some experimentation I created these Chai Tea Cookies to carry my love into a yummy baked goodie.

1 cup butter or margarine
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/8 cup chai tea powder {found in the spice isle}
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3 Tbsp sugar
3 tsp chai tea latte dry mix
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl mix butter, sugar, chai tea and eggs.  In a separate bowl combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.  Add dry ingredients to butter mixture and blend well.  Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.  Meanwhile mix sugar and chai tea mix in a small bowl.  Roll dough into 1 inch balls and coat in the sugar mixture.  Place on greased cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes.  Remove to a cooling rack immediately.

These are similar to a Snickerdoodle but with a chai tea spin and flavor.
