Gold Confetti Trees

Adding a touch of DIY to your Christmas decor can be so easy and rewarding!
These gold confetti trees are no exception ~ with just a bit of wood and paint
this set of three holiday trees was created.

When you have DIY on the brain you can sometimes get lucky.  My mom found these wooden trees, unpainted and unfinished, at a thrift store for just 75 cents!  With the uneven look to them I like to think that they were some high school students unfinished wood shop project ~ given new life!

I simply painted them with white acrylic paint then with a round sponge dauber and gold paint, gave them gold confetti accents.  After the paint all dried I hit them with my rotary hand sander and finally sealed them with varathane.  They turned out far cuter than I could have imagined!  The three of them are destined for a new home as I am donating them as a door prize for the Quigley Holiday Craft Fair that I am organizing!  I will let you know how it goes.
