Low Carb Turkey Meatballs

Low Carb Turkey Meatballs

Hello, hello my friends!  I am always looking for delicious ways to add more protein to my diet.  Following a HPLC Ketogenic Lifestyle, I often struggle to meet my protein macro.  These Low Carb Turkey Meatballs have been the perfect solution to add more lean protein to my diet in a yummy way!

This versatile dish is packed with flavour and can be served with tomato, pesto or cheese sauce.  I even add these meatballs to soups and stews!

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground turkey

1 tsp Everyday Seasoning (from Trader Joes but any seasoning salt would work).

That’s it!  You can add an egg to help bind the meatballs if you need to but I find the ground turkey that I buy from Costco to be very moist and sticky so have not needed to add any fillers to this recipe.  I love that these pack a huge lean protein punch!

Directions:

In a medium bowl combine turkey and seasoning.

Using a cookie scoop, measure 25g portions and roll into balls.

Saute in a frying pan, turning each ball gently until cooked through.

Alternatively you can place the raw meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes.

Serve immediately or freeze for later use.

Makes 20 meatballs.

Are you a meatball fan?  What would you serve these with??  So far my favorite is adding pesto, mushrooms and cheese and baking them in the oven.  Serve them over pasta or rice for a meal that is sure to be a winner with the entire family!
