Pumpkin Loot Bags

I had the pleasure of being a vendor at a wicked event last weekend.
It was just what the Okanagan needed!
An event where local mompreneurs collaborated to showcase some amazing talent.  An event that was creative, uplifting and FUN!  An event that was coordinated by the most caring and supportive momma around, Sarah founder of The Momma Collective.
I can’t wait to share all of the details!

But first you need to check out these Pumpkin Loot Bags!
The first fifty customers at the fair received one of these goodie bags stuffed full of little gifts and tokens from over twenty of the vendors!  I was so impressed by the creativity and thought that went into each little favour.  Not only was the fair a free event but customers were truly treated like guests with these fabulous loot bags!

I volunteered to decorate the loot bags and had so much fun creating them.  Painting fifty bags was no small task but I truly loved doing it!  The quickest way to paint that many pumpkins was to create a pumpkin stencil.  I simply cut my pumpkin shape out of sturdy cardstock, pulled out the acrylic paint, foam paintbrush and cleared off just about every surface in my home to lay drying bags on.

Our bags were found at Michaels and the jute at the local dollar store.  It took about an hour to paint all of the bags using the stencil.  I applied more of a yellow colour to the center of the pumpkin and red to the outside of the pumpkin to give it more dimension.  The jute was glued directly to the bag with hot glue.

We had hoped to have a stamp for the fair delivered in time to stamp it onto each bag.  Alas we did not, so I created a quick “WCMC ~ West Coast Momma Collective” stamp cut out of foam and stamped that onto the back of all of the bags as well {I might find a photo or two of that later and will be sure to share it}.

Pumpkin Loot Bags

These Pumpkin Loot Bags would make great additions to almost any Fall Event!
Creating a pumpkin stencil can make the whole process quick and easy.

Do you have any fun fall events in the works?
I would love to hear about them!
