Shirred Summer Dresses

Today I’ve got a line up of Shirred Summer Dresses for you!
You can find my tutorial here on U Create.

My mom and I rummaged through our scrap fabric, made a few trips to Fabricland and set up a dress making assembly line.  We made twenty dresses in a couple of days!  One for pretty much every little girl in our lives.  It was so much fun!  Here are a few examples of what we came up with… Shirred Summer Dresses Lots of ruffles for my niece Brianna.
Shirred Summer DressesLovely pink accents for the little miss and a cousin in Calgary.

We made tons of these ones ~ nearly one for every girl!Shirred Summer DressesWhat little girl doesn’t want ruffles?  Another for B.

Pink stripes for the cousins on Vancouver Island.

Shirred Summer DressesMy original design.
I purchased about three yards of this fabric for fifty cents at a thrift store!
Each dress only cost about $2.50 {or less} to make.  The most expensive part was the elastic thread ~ which we cleared out of the store!   And the little miss still comes to visit us ~ so very thankful for that.  She will be taking home a new dress almost every time she comes by!  lol

Thanks for visiting.
