S’more Smores T-shirt Tutorial

S’more Smores T-shirt Tutorial  Hey there!
If you’ve been around awhile then you know that we love camping.  Heck, we had our very own indoor camp out back in January just because we missed it so much!  So I wanted to create something for the boys to wear.  To help celebrate the season.  Bring on summer!
S’more Smores T-shirt Tutorial Enter the S’more Smores t-shirt.  I found an image here and used it as my jumping off point for this fun shirt.  {Of course I made one for each of the boys ~ little miss matchy matchy}.
Plain t-shirt {pre-shrunk}
Piece of white fabric and iron on interfacing
Tulip fabric markers
Tulip dimensional fabric paint {puffy paint}
Tulip soft fabric paint
Freezer paper
S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialI began by sketching an image onto the white fabric {with interfacing ironed onto the back}.   S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialThen I added more color and details with Tulip fabric markers. S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialNext I created smore features using Tulip puffy paint.   S’more Smores T-shirt Tutorial While the smore guys dried, I used my Cricut to create this freezer paper stencil “S’more Smores!”  S’more Smores T-shirt Tutorial
Then I filled in the stencil using Tulip soft fabric paint. I needed about three coats of white paint on this navy t-shirt.S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialI allowed both the smore guys and the stencilled letters to dry completely before pinning the white fabric to the t-shirt.   S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialUsing a 1/8 inch seam, I attached the cartoon image to the t-shirt. S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialLooks like these boys need s’more smores please! S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialAnd a perfect photo op!
If I could create these again I would make the white rectangle of fabric about 1/2 inch smaller all the way around but that’s about it.  Seriously fun t-shirts that are totally us.
S’more Smores T-shirt TutorialMmm…. smores!p.s.  this post was not sponsored by Tulip, I swear!  I just love their products! 😉
